AWAKEN is a Ritual Steel multi-day event, a transformative ritual piercing weekend intended to provide a unique and educational experience, as well as a “first look” for many people into the world of body-stress rituals.
Open to any consenting adult who purchases a ticket, this event is structured to provide a unique experience based on the needs of each participant. Through piercing, weights, hook pulls, cheek spears, flesh suspensions, and other piercing rituals, the producers of Ritual Steel will work with the participants to provide coming-of-age transformation, catharsis, rebirth, and other energetic or spiritual revelations through extreme sensory experiences.

EDUCATE!
Friday evening we will begin with a redesigned workshop on the history and intent of many global body rituals, including many examples of rituals involving pulling on pierced flesh.
Not sure about what to expect? Come to the workshop and learn a bit about this thing we do, hear others' stories, and then decide if you'd like to participate through the weekend. "Workshop/social-only" tickets are available for $25, and if you choose to purchase a weekend ticket you only need to pay the difference.
CONNECT!
This meet-and-greet social on Friday evening is for all participants, witnesses, and their friends to meet and mingle to establish connections. We will provide some light hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages. Ritual Steel staff will be available to answer questions and make connections with other participants as well. Any remaining tickets for the weekend will also be available for purchase at this time.
Important Note: For those interested in suspending during the event, an initial group discussion will happen during the social so the production team can meet each participant, be informed about any medical considerations, and learn about the intentions guiding their suspension. If you intend to suspend, please attend.

ELEVATE!
Suspension Day! We will begin with a discussion about suspension rituals performed around the globe throughout history, followed by a brief connective ritual to help everyone get grounded. From there, we will roll into piercing the first suspendees, and continue and continue through 6:00 PM, facilitating as many people as we can help fly. Every ticketed participant is welcome and encouraged to support the suspendees as we help each one achieve flight using only hooks and flesh!
Important Note: If you're interested in suspending during Saturday's ELEVATE, please attend the suspension meeting on Friday during the social!
This individualized focus requires significantly more time and piercing resources per person, and will require a $150 surcharge on top of the normal ticket price.

ENGAGE!
The Hook Pull will start with an opening ceremony, after which participants may choose to get pierced. For the piercing options please read "What Is A Hook Pull". The Hook Pull will include a combination of live drumming and DJ'ed rhythmic music.
Overall, the Ritual typically lasts from 3-4 hours. At 5pm Sunday we will conclude with a Ritual Steel follow-up discussion/Q&A for all participants, and formally close the altar, bringing a close to our weekend. We ask that all RS participants attend this final closing if they are able.
